Xiaoyang Zhang, passed away on October 16th, 2013. Although his life is relatively short, but those beautiful memories will last forever. Xiaoyang is a smart, sharp guy. He is very determined and enthusiastic, and also has a great sense of responsibility. Whether at work or in daily life, he strives to be the best. He is a good son to his parents, a devoted husband to his wife and a loving father of two young daughters, ages 11 and 7.
Xiaoyang is a gifted circuit design engineer, also a well-respected boss. He obtained both his Master and B.S. degrees from Tsinghua University in Beijing. In 1995, he came to U.S. and started working in HAL computer system as an engineer. Later when he worked in Agilent, due to his outstanding performance, he was promoted as a manager.
Xiaoyang was diagnosed as stage IV liver bile duct cancer on June, 2009. It was a completely shock for Xiaoyang and his family. Bearing with pain, Xiaoyang and his family bravely took the challenge and started cancer treatments. During the last four and half years, Xiaoyang fought so hard and tried his best to beat this horrible disease. A healthy person could never imagine how tough and suffer it was. Xiaoyang strongly wished that he could have more time with his wife and daughters, even one day more was so precious.
In Xiaoyang’s last days, he was tortured by excruciating pain day and night. However, he didn’t give up the treatment until the last minute. He was a true warrior, even doctors and nurses were so touched by him.
Xiaoyang is such a life loving person. During his illness, he took part in his daughters’ musical education for as long as he felt capable to do so. While he could walk, Xiaoyang attended lessons; while his hand could hold the camera, he recorded daughters’ classes. He also coached daughters’ math whenever he could, very patiently all the time. Once in a while, Xiaoyang brought his daughters to parks and beaches, watching them playing and laughing around and enjoying every moment with them.
Now Xiaoyang has rested in peace. He is free of suffering now and will be always with his wife and two adorable daughters.
